Default Hydraulic Clutch

Hey guys,
I thinking of installing a hydro clutch in my 74 GTO. Now upgrading to the Richmond 6 speed and with everything out of the bay at the moment it was a thought to do it now. Any suggestions out there???? I know a couple of companies that sell the retro kits but I'm not able to afford their prices.
My budget is limited so I'm asking you guys if there is another way to go about this upgrade.
I thought maybe a late model Camaro clutch setup would be my best shot but what do you guys think???
Thanks
Terry

p.s. I have another set of the engine turn decals made but awaiting Dennis's opinion before I go any further. This roll of material was hard to get since it is the metal and not vinyl type. Thanks again!!!

I have done a couple,IMO there is no reason to use it if good man linkage is avail. They do not make the pedal any more easy. They do give you more room for headers.Tom

That's the way I'm going. I have a scatter shield I'm just going to weld a bracket to for the slave. I'm just going to copy the late model camaro scatter bracket and location. I bought the bracket for the master off EPAY that bolts behind the booster for $30.00. The whole kit and kaboodle was under $150.00. I figure if I'm on the road the master and slave are readily available, and the biggest thing to me is, I can change the slave in case of failure in less than an hour with bleeding. No pulling the tranny...

That was along the way I was thinking Frankie... Since my car accident back in 2010 I don't have the leg strength as before. I just wasn't sure what I may have to do different. I have the Quick Time scatter shield for Pontiac that will be going on the new 455ci. I have the 2.5 in. exhaust long ram ram air manifolds and was looking to make a bit of room for them in that small X-body engine bay...
thanks for the info
Terry

There is one other modification I'm considering. The camaro slave has a spring inside that keeps pressure on the TOB at all times. I'm considering removing it because I don't want undue wear on the TOB or the thrust surface of the main, so I might put an external spring on the fork to keep everything together and eliminate rattling of the fork. Just a thought. When I get closer to the install I'll try it both ways. Right now I can't do anything cause I currently have RA III manifolds and will be changing to Doug's headers. I m not looking for double work.
