Default Share your fuel system setup

Just curious what folks are running. Not a pissing match this is better than that, just would like to see what everyone runs for comparison.

Share your engine CID and approximate trap rpm (et's if you want to share?)
Carburetor style (4150, 4500, etc) and CFM
Fuel pump (make and model, any other pertinent info)
Fuel filters
Fuel line (feed, and if applicable return)
Regulator and Fuel Pressure
Dead head or return system

Still getting mine together, but planning on
535 Eheads motor, approx 7500 rpm?
4500 1050 CFM
Magnifuel prostar 500 w/filter
(Not decided on other filters yet)
-12 from cell to pump, -10 from pump to regulator, -8 dual feed from reg to carb.
Magnafuel 4 port reg (2 ports blocked off)(pressure will be set once it's all together)

Your system is exactly what I have on both my cars. 13:1 540 on e85. You should have no issues. Even if you add nitrous
Your carb will be small for max Hp. I have a 1250

12.5 to 1 comp 474 cu.in. trap rpms around 6000-6200.
127 mph. Holley HP150. Pump , #10 braided hose from a fitting in the bottom of the tank to a Screen filter, 1/2" alum. From outlet of pump to the front. #8 braided hose to the regulator. 1050 Dominator carb on 110 octane gas. I can't remember the formula, but an engine needs a certain amount of fuel by weight per hp. I flowed my pump through the regulator and it has more than enough fuel delivery

OK, this will be amusing to some.

350P 40 over, Stock tank, 3/8 supply, factory return, stock replacement pump, dual feed into QF 780 VS.

Best mph was 98 with a 2.3 60.

Bam!

THAT just happened!

Adequate for now...likely get you thru down to low 13's. Marginal at high 12's and typically keep you from going quicker than 12.60's. (At typical weight of most stockfish Pontiacs.) It takes a given amount of fuel (and air) to make the power needed to go the mph to make the ET desired.( In theory rpm can make up difference for ci.)
Enjoy!

535 12:1 shifting at 6000 and trapping at 6100 (1/4).
4500 dominator(s). Currently using a Quick Fuel 1050 and previously had a 1250 cfm with no difference in performance between the two.
10 teens to low 20's, low 6.40's in chitty summer weather. 10.0's, high 6.30's in nice spring/fall weather.
Magna fuel 500 pump and filter combo with a #8 return.
2 #8 lines out of the fuel cell (15 gal) to a Y block then #10 to the regulator (Magna Fuel big port). #8's out to the carb.
Pressure set at 7lbs and never fluctuates.

DCI RAV 535 CID Fuel Injected, twin 88m turbos.
105mm Accufab throttle body
235lb/hr Moran Injectors

Drawing is close, due to space/fuel line routing constraints, each tank has a 75 Micron filter installed before the tank shutoff.

Per Aeromotive website...a N/A motor needs about .5 lbs of fuel per hp. So a 600 hp motor need 300 lbs of fuel per hr. Gasoline weighs 6.1 lbs per gallon. There are some other variables they mention too. Just flow test your system for 1 minute into a gas can, make sure you flow it through the regulator.

I use this as a more accurate or maybe safer measure for fuel delivery, from barry grants site.

Test your fuel system by obtaining a 1-gallon gas-can (do not use a molded-plastic gas container, or marked super-jug, or antifreeze-jug, as you will not get accurate readings). Open up the top of the tin can and insert the two or four carburetor fuel lines from your regulator, switch on the system, and carefully measure the time it takes to fill it. High 10-second cars will need to pump 1-gallon in 25-seconds or less. A 9-second car should fill the can in 20-seconds or less, 15-seconds is all it takes for an 8-second car, and under 12-seconds for 7-second vehicles. Important Note: It is essential to observe two strict rules during the test. One, keep a fire extinguisher handy and two, do not carry-out the test by yourself.

1/4 Mile E.T. Time to fill a 1-Gal. Can
7 sec under 12 seconds
8 sec 15 seconds
9 sec 20 seconds
10 sec 25 seconds
11 sec 30 seconds
12 sec 35 seconds
