I wouldn't be surprised that every tenth costs big money! Heard many heads were bought and can only imagine same principals with engine and chassis components.

All within rules as the money allows....

Any rear gear allowed the Blue RA II runs 4.33 - up to 2 1/2 inch exhaust from stock exhaust manifolds - factory style tires - that's a science hooking them up - also stock stroke engine with stock lift cam but more aggressive cam ramp profiles allowed

I know.

4.33 8.2 10-Bolt gears were a Carry over from the Late 1961-Early 1963 SD421 Race program with 4.30 :1 gears.

Low gears often make it easier to hookup.
Opposite of what many believe .

That has been my experience. Been running with the FAST guys for years (even though my car is slow. ) I was worried about getting it to hook when I switched from 3.31 to 3.73. It turned out to be much easier to launch with the 3.73- if they slip, it's easier to reel it back in. With lower (numerically) gears the wheel speed picks up too fast once they start spinning.

I actually raced with the Carousel Red '69 (belongs to PY member Bruno17) and the Mahoney/Tiemann '68 FAST car just a few weeks ago at the Hemming's Musclpalooza at LVD. The '69 is a well tuned, nicely done car but no real "tricks" built in.

The white RAII is another story. It's run a best of 10.18… or was it 10.13.
