Default 69 Tempest Custom S find

Hi all. It's been many years since I've been on this sight, but here we go again. A neighbor of mine was over, noticed that I had a 74 GTO and said he had a car "just like that" at home that I could have if I wanted. So I went over and had a look. Turns out it's a 69 Custom S. It's in RUFF condition. Sitting on it's roof, ax or forklift holes in the doors, thrashed interior, but looking at the condition of the engine/tranny, it may have a fairly fresh engine. No oil and grime stuck to the under side. That maybe because it's been upside down and exposed to the elements though. It's got the 350 in it and I haven't gotten to see it real good yet. Hope it's the 350 HO. If it is....she'll be going in my 80 Firebird.

Is there any value in the body/glass/hood/trunk etc. parts? thx

If there is no rust then any body panels, frame etc are worth money. factory glass especially if soft ray is worth decent money and even things like dashpads, clock, glove box, rear seat etc is worth something if you get picking rights to the car.

Red face Wow...

cannot believe NO interest in saving this car? What are the colors? I found a Mayfair/black Custom S ragtop...turned out to be an HO and John Sawruk told me that was probably one of the rarest Pontiacs made. Also missed out on a Verdoro hardtop that got wrecked before I could talk the kid out of it. They repop the emblems for these cars...they are just neat cars. Where's the love?

Hi Ron... I agree... to save it would be the thing to do, but I don't have the resources to save it. Like I said, if it is HO, that at least will be saved.

Get real. The car is upside down on it's roof with fork lift holes thru the body. It's a GTO parts car.

GTOnly70.... I don't know the $$$$ of this car, but I'm sure if you dropped 30 grand into this car, you'd have a very nice 15 grand car. Buttt, it is a car that IS pretty unique. Purpose built sleeper of sorts.

Default What's WRONG with this picture?

I was able to stick my camera up between the suspension and the exhaust to take a picture of the top of the center exhaust port.

Jeez, that thing must have been in pretty nice shape before someone trashed it.

Kinda reminds of the way stolen cars get treated.
