It's a 3 speed turbo 400 and you just leave in second gear. It's done through the Griner valve body.

I was wondering if that is what he did, but figured it would be better to use a PG and save weight and rotating mass?
I know a lot of racers use a 1.80 1st gear in the TH400. I also know a lot of guys that use 2nd gear in a PG.
