Weird stuff
Im putting my 67 back to original intake manifold from the edelbrock that is in it now. It has a royal bobcat kit in it. I have a blocked heat riser intake gasket. I want a choke for the cool mornings. How do i have a choke without changing the gasket set-up and changing part of the bobcat kit?

I'm not sure what the 'Royal Bobcat Kit' is, but have you considered an electric choke?

Or a simple manual choke.

Manual choke is far better IMHO. I have one on my Carter "Competition Series" and I love it. Wouldn't have anything else. Tho I do have a "Competition Series" in reserve that has an electric choke on it.

Thanks, the electric choke sounds good.
I can leave my set-up as it is and can warm her up in chill michigan days.

I had a hand choke on my 1965 GTO many years ago. My wife took the car and knew enough to pull out the choke cable. However she didn't know you had to push it back in as the engine warmed up. I found the car about a half a mile down the street where it stop running when it loaded up. Use an electric choke if you can. You never know who you might let drive your car.

I blocked my heat crossover and I still use the factory Q-jet divorced choke. I have it adjusted on the light side. Works perfect for me. I like keeping the stock look.
Nothing wrong with the electric choke either. |

Like my '76 Super Glide, no one drives my GTO but me. Not even da wife.
