Anyone running a BBC in a 66-67 with the stock hood?

I just saw your post. Back in 2014 I found a '66 GTO for sale on Classic Auto trader, I believe it was for sale by someone in the Rochester, NY, area. This car had a bored and sroked big block Chevy in it (540 ci) and headers, Holley on a hi-rise intake. The hood was stock GTO and it shut very nicely over the engine in the photos. Hope this is of some help.

I have a BBC in my 66 , with air gap manifold , the original hood would fit with a drop base air cleaner, but at the moment I have a lemans hood with a super duty scoop

What did you do for motor mounts? How much modification did the cross member and driveshaft require?

In the past we used GM frame mounts from a 66-67 396 chevelle. I pretty sure there were no mods to the crossmember. The drive shaft may have been cut?
