Default S-10 brakes in a first gen Fiebird

I'm considering the S10 rear disc swap and have been searching the forums but have a few unanswered questions.
Every swap I have seen has been on Lemans/GTO or 2nd gen F-body.
Does the first gen bird require the different backing plates due to staggered shocks or does the extra room because of narrower spring perches make that un-necessary?
If not necessary, does the 2wd or 4wd make for a better fit.

Any help or insight appreciated.

We have a nice setup that will clear the 68 and later shocks. Uses S10 rotors and Citation front calipers. Requires 15" disc rims, and ebrake drum is adjustable from the outside.

Should be doable you just need one brake setup from a four wheel drive S10, and one set up for two wheel drive. Go on the V8S10 website and buy their spacers for 30 bucks and it's all bolt on. I have 30,000 miles on my set up and they work flawlessly. I have $350 invested in mine including drilled and slotted rotors.

How much for this kit?
Does it include parking brake cables?
I should add that I have a c-clip rear end, I know that makes a difference on some set-ups.

They are 235 for the brackets and parking shoes. Cable are extra - you can reuse your stock drum modified cables

So that is w/o rotors & calipers?

Really all I need is replacement calipers for the WS6/Seville units I have now. I can't get the parking brakes to work for more than a week without having to manually re-adjust them.
I thought the S10 system with the drum parking brakes would be a much better way to go.

My S10 conversion parking brakes work like a charm.

If you want replacement calipers try B&W brake in Missouri. Our setup all done is about $400 and no machine work required.

Just an up-date on this old post. I took the old calipers out and found that neither parking brake ratchet was doing its job. They were 4 years old and guaranteed for life so I returned them and got new (rebuilt) ones and before installing them made sure that the parking brake mechanism was working. Cleaned up a few things while under there and now I have working parking brakes.

+3. They hold anywhere in any situation. With my factory setup, I could drive away and not know they were on. If I try that with these, the engine kills when I let out the clutch.
