We lost Steve this morning.
We all knew this day was coming - Steved400, SteveD, Steve Hoog - however you knew him, he left us this morning.
As I told Gary this morning, "That's a hole in your life you won't fill but he'll always be with you." BVZ said, "He was probably holding off for Sunday the whole time. He has it made in the shade now." He had a strength I can' imagine & I remember several times telling him that no one would fault him for checking out early.....just wasn't his style. We'll miss ya brother, prayers for those you left behind. See you on the other side.

So sad, but he's probably in a better place. No suffering anymore either. Peace be with you Steve.
Again, my condolences to all who knew him and his family. Someday hopefully I'll meet you on the other side and shake your hand. God bless.

Condolences to Steve's family,
Didn't know him personally, but felt I did through his posts. I admired the way he dealt with life with all that was stacked against him. He had a lot of guts. RIP |

So sorry to hear this. My condolences to his family and friends. I didn't know him except for exchanging posts once in a while here. I PM'd him a while ago telling him about my mom's 10 year fight with cancer. She passes back in 1989. Like Steve, she wasn't given long to live by the doctors, but she hung on for a long time. I was trying to give him a little encouragement. But a guy like Steve didn't need it because he was so damn strong. He ended up replying to me with words of comfort for losing my mom. Amazing how he was trying to console me for my loss with everything he was going thru. He's a hell of a guy and a tough SOB. Thank you, Steve.
