The current front end is factory sheet metal. It was a tilt front end at one point, the header panel and cowl panels are welded to the fenders. The whole front end currently comes off with 6 bolts, it's pretty hokey. So I wanted to start from scratch.

I had a 67 camaro with fiberglass fenders, factory header panel, and a fiberglass valance that I converted to a one piece front end. It worked out pretty good and I was able to keep the original RS grill.

I'm guessing I could do the same thing on this car? I know it doesn't have a valance like a Camaro, but I'm assuming there is some type of panel that ties the lower part of the front fenders together.

Let me get the front end torn off this weekend, so that I can see what I'm working with. I'll get back to you then.
