Default Time to play.....what will it make!

Ehead motor version 8.0

This will be the last year I run eheads. We are planning for the 2016 engine now and it should be fun. Last hurrah here. For me anyway.

Improvements from last time include,

1. 13 CID.
2. Steel rods. Carrillo
3. Improved bring seal. Bores had bald spots when touch honed. We had to hone them almost .002 To get them round again. Now that the block is seasoned it won't move again.
4. 8 weight Bryant crank.
5. More hood clearance = 2 1/2 inch spacer clearance. Instead of 1/2 inch
6. Planning on pulling another 2 to 3 inches of vacuum.
7. 1 full point static comp increase. But Figure .5 point of compression due to alum to steel rod difference in thermal expansion and stretch.
8. Bigger carb will be tried.
9. Merge collectors will be tried
10. Possibly bigger headers will be tried.
11. Adjustable sheer plate will be tried.
12. A couple oil control/windage tricks will be employed. ? If they will help.

13. Just for John ta1 and the coating brigade..... Coated bearings and piston skirts. LOL

1137 last time. It's going to get tougher. But we have a plan to keep peak up around 8500-8600 hopefully.

For the peanut gallery....keep in mind your posts will also be read by all. But feel free to make any comments that seem prudent.

Not the first time you (and others) have told me it would not come close to the number on your dyno sessions.

More CID, better Vacuum, Bigger Carb, Bigger/better Headers, 1/2 point more True Compression Ratio. 10 hp here, 15 hp there, you never know, Mike. Course if you don't play with the proper headers then the numbers will not be as good. I am pulling for you not passing up HP you know is there.

Any chance of getting the baseline on headers, compression, cam, etc to understand where you are starting? It's hard to estimate the improvements without the baseline.
