Default Correct Carter AFB for a 64 Catalina

Hello everyone,
My car does not have the original carb on it, it does have an aftermarket Edelbrock Performer carb and an aftermarket air cleaner. I want to go back to the factory air cleaner for a stock appearance. When I search for 1964 Pontiac Carter AFB I see several different model numbers. My car is a 389 automatic, engine code 25K. Which carb is right for my car?

Thanks,
- Frank

Default '64 Pontiac air cleaner

Frank,

PM sent.

I think I have 2 assemblies around here. Neither are pristine, but certainly useable. I'll post some pics in the morning. They are both AFB assemblies and 1964 Pontiac. They look like the one on my 64 GP, with the cylindrical air inlet. I also have an AFB, but couldn't find the numbers B-man posted, it's an electric choke model.

Greg

Default air cleaners and AFB

Frank,

Here's some shots of the air cleaners and the AFB that I have laying around here. I took the opportunity to scare the spiders out of the shed this morning.

The AFB has an X stamped on the pasenger's front foot and 36 stamped onto the driver's front foot. I certainly would appreciate any ID that someone could provide for me. There's no carb tag on it.

I don't recall how I acquired it. All of the linkages and plates move properly.

Thank you everyone for your help. I received the carb from Greg the other day and am very happy with in. He is a very honest and fair guy to work with.

My list of winter projects grows!
