Two of my friends is using MSD Atomic efi, one of them bought one of the first systems and he had some problems with it, but the other friend bought a later system and his efi is working perfect. Non of them is using the efi to control the ignition, but its recomended to do that if possible.

Take a good look at the Holley Terminator EFI. A bunch of people headed to Holley EFI now. I believe you can upgrade the terminator efi for free and have full control of the computer if you wish. It is also expandable to multiport if you want growth in the future. Just my 2 cents.

It's hard to beat the Holley Terminator or the FAST EZ-EFI 2.0 when it comes to throttle body type systems. My only issue with all the throttle body systems (except for the FAST) is that they have a HP cap of around 600hp. You could bump the fuel psi, but it would still force the injectors into an unfavorable duty cycle.

The Terminator upgrades to the HP, the Dominator is a different system, and has E trans control. If you don't need the trans control, the Terminator/HP is fine, and can work with multi-point systems.

Car Craft did a pretty good comparison of EFI systems at the beginning of the year, worth a look:

Only thing about Holley is that when I called for pre-sales support (several times) I never got through. I waited like 1.5 hours the one time.

I get a pretty nice price break on the FAST systems. If anyone is interested, PM me.
