Default Source for auto art

Do you feel your car is unique and perhaps more attractive and/or eye catching then other similar models? Would you like to have a one-of-a-kind special drawing, (perhaps with slight modifications to the car), for display and/or history?

I am not selling or drawing but I can give you a source for such a drawing.

My son Tom found that one of the artists that worked on “The Simpsons” TV series – Mark Ervin - would do a special drawing in any desired style using whatever basis you want. Tom arranged for Mark to draw a 12” X 20” image of my ’71 LeMans wagon in an older “drag race” style.

Mark has a web site with his history and experience and many more drawings. Read all the activities he has been involved in the “About” section, and review more of his art/drawings in the galleries.

It is not the easiest site to navigate – for example to find my drawing, select Gallery 2, find and select a red Chevelle (with the front up), and the drawing will enlarge and left- right arrows will appear at the sides of the drawing. Click on the right arrow and magically my wagon appears!

Enjoy the drawings!

He did a great job on your LeMans wagon Jim.

I guess I'd look no further than Eric White (member gtoric).

Pontiacs have been featured on The Simpsons more than once - coincidence?

I really love the slightly cartoonish style of the Ervin renderings. They remind me of the old CARtoon magazines. I like the fact that they have people and background content as well. Makes them very interesting to look at.
The Eric White stuff is fantastic too, as anyone can see, just a very different style.
