Yes, dry IS good and yes, missing a fun day of racing- and having to spend money and time on something other than your car and racing IS chock full of suck. Gary assembled my engine and would love to go racing with him and I know he could steer me in the right direction at the track. Took the car out last night for some spirited runs and the car LOVES the cool night air with the ram air setup I installed. VERY happy with the engine and the car is begging to stretch its legs at the track- maybe very soon.

Just walked in the house.
Big improvement from two weeks ago.
From a 13.65 to a 12.61 the 60 ft from 2.2 something to a 1.76.
The mile an hour is the same105 to 106, Still a fuel delivery issue.
I'll get that figured out as I know what the problem is.
Had a great time and learned a lot about the suspension so next year
I'll have the 440 motor in it. Car should haul with that set up.

That is an awesome improvement!

Sounds like you have some more improvement coming.
Most of the time there is a lot of hidden ET gains in suspensions.

Congrats!

Watched the weather tonight on the news looks like next sat
Is suppose to be nice also. If so I'll be going again sat.
I want to re jet the carbs and install xcel-pumps in the carbs to.
Plugs show rich even with it running out of fuel on the long end. (Figure that) LOL
Checked the timing, It was off to, If I have the time I might put a two-step in it.
That would help the launch a lot. Oh-- Plus work, Kinda busy there too.
I'm getting to old to work like a 20-year old any more but I keep doing it WHY
I don't know.

GT.

PS. Bring it up Tony.

I know why- you're hooked like all the rest of us are...and you're still a 20 year-old at heart. That's what's so cool.

Unless my son comes home from college this weekend, Im planning the trip to Martin. I'll give you a call this week.

I'm wanting to throw the fuel pressure gauge on the car this week to ensure I'm not running out of fuel/experiencing inadequate fuel pressure as well. I've jetted up a bit (~8% on secondaries) too, as the plugs looked a bit lean. It still runs very crisp everywhere under all cruising and accelerating conditions. I also added a ram air set-up and coupled with the cooler temps , I think I will need the extra fuel.

I'll bring my timing light as well.

Good runs. 128=10.20-30 range. Get the 60 to 1.40 and it'll fly

Great numbers especially with 1.6X 60's! What was your 1/8 ET and MPH?

Nice passes. Low 10's are there with decent traction off the line.

Work on the chassis and traction, the engine appears to have some nice power with the MPH numbers.

Makin plenty of steam... get it all going foward!

The 440 combo is one of my favorites! Often ignored for bigger ci combos but power to inch they do quite well.

I'm quite proud of the 1/8 mile to
6.86 is the best ET and 103.25 MPH.
I'm real happy for the first time out with it with the new combo.
I'm going to change fuel pumps as the holley blue 110 is at it's limit.
It shows that on the long end so I know there's more there and some
chassis tunning to get the 60's better and some other tinkering I think
Mike Leech is dead on.
I'm going through the traps at around 6500-6700 .
I was going to go back up today but I am whooped so maybe Wed.
Thanks for all the advise and the pat on the back guy's means a lot.

GT.
