Default Anyone using this "pump to carb" fuel line? What pump to run.

Hi everyone,
When I bought my 73 bird, the car had a scary pink rubberized hose for fuel line in between the Edelbrock 750 carb and Holley fuel pump. I like my things stock looking , so i swapped the RPM intake and carb for a 68 Iron Q-jet intake and a rebuilt 76 Q jet, since i wanted to run a stock flat hood and the RPM intake didn't clear it.

everything hooked up fine ran perfect and I decided to re use the dreaded pink fuel line was until I find a stock looking steel replacement for it.

I ordered from summit a Right Stuff FPC7120 fuel line which you can see here :
http://static.summitracing.com/globa...fpc7120_xl.jpg

Its supposed to be for a 71 firebird with 400 or 455.

My issue is I run a holley mechanical pump which I could have clocked to mach the orientation of the fuel line , but the line end up being roughly 2 inches lower than the outlet on the Holley pump.

My guess is this line should be for the "high volume" pumpsthis one for example:

Can someone recommend a good pump that would fit this line , I thought about a Carter M6122 , they are like 30$ at summit , it seems to fit the bill but I know some people don't like that pump.

My car is an Esprit with a rebuilt and warmed up original 350, th350 and a highway geared posi rear .

If Im changing the pump, it needs to fit that line without mods.

I can also make a steel line that will connect the Holley pump to the carb, but I really don't have a lot of faith in the Holley mechanical pump.

any thoughts?
cheers

Any stock pump for yor application should work..... You will likely have to "massage" The Fuel line to fit no matter which pump you use...

Thought there was a flexible line in the connection from the frame line to the fuel pump inlet fitting. Engine moves, fuel line does not. A hard line connected to the frame line and engine will fail quickly.

I use a PLE-7102 line from Inline Tube. It was bent for a 71 455 GTO. I run a deep canister factory style pump and use the long snout fuel filter. I've run this line with a factory intake, factory intake and a 1" spacer and the current Edelbrock P4B-QJ. All with a 1979 Old's Qjet I worked up. Pretty sure I've had a short snout filter on the Qjet before too.

There is, for both the return and inlet sides. One of the links he provided shows that pump.
