Roller cam bearings - maintenance 50mm
Any experience with longevity of these. Do you replace them as a maintenance item/ how often? Has anyone seen a failure? Probably have 5 years on a set and upon inspection don't see or feel any issues, but don't know life expectancy. Any comments? Thanks, Bill--

cage guided NRB
Hi Bill,
As long as they are the caged style NRB (the kind that Wade sells at BOP Engineering) given the design loads that they can handle they should last a very long time. Look for any type of pitting or discoloration. Probably the best test is the feel test and the sound test. If they are smooth and quiet then they are fine. If they are sticky, rough and noisy then replace them. Not a lot can go wrong unless they get contaminated with grit or dirt. I am sure that won't be a problem in your motor... Hey when did you move south? |
