Default In Need of Reputable Engine Builder

I just got some news that Ken Keefer, aka Pontiac Dude, is retiring and no longer taking engine orders. Does anyone have recommendations for a reliable, honest, skilled Pontiac engine shop/builder? I'm in central FL and would prefer someone within a days drive if possible.

Thanks Guys

Damn, no chit!

Try Gaby Labiosa at EIC Motorsports in Miami.

He does a lot of high end Pontiac stuff.

Is Ken actually retiring? A friend of mine was going to call him about getting a motor done. Has anyone else heard this for sure?

I have spoken to Ken recently. He is easing out of the business and wants to enjoy life outside of motors and racing. But he'll still be around.
You may have noticed on Facebook [I believe it was a posting by Danee] that Ken recently suffered a very serious knee injury.
Best wishes Ken.

Jim

Sorry to hear Ken is getting out of the business and wish him the best of luck in what ever he may have plans for.

Kris Nelson is a top notch engine builder and knows his way around our beloved Pontiac's. As a matter of fact Kris has done some work for both Ken & Gaby in the past. Kris is located in the Tampa Bay area (Pinellas Park) His number is 727-321-5756

I hope all is well with Ken and I hope he can enjoy his retirement.

Does anyone have a contact numer for Ken? My old phone with his contact number got killed. I need to talk to him about some parts.

I really want to post pics of the CV1 heads I received from Keefer. They looked like they were dragged behind his truck down a gravel driveway. The Gasket mating surface was horrendous. Blew a head gasket, and had to have the head welded because of it. No fault of Keefer, I should have known better. But those heads needed serious work coming from his shop.
