Default PHS, no fax

I have no fax, will PHS email the info to me thats pertinent to a car that I'm interested in. Or is a fax only option. Also, if I have to fax it from Kinko's, can I expect to recieve it back the same day. Just trying to figure the best or quickest way to recieve some basic info on a car. PHS is great, I have it on a couple of cars, just dont remeber how long it took to get it.

thanks

I had my PHS sent in a packet to the house. It did not take too long.

Mail is ok, but if your trying to buy a car it might not be quick enough. Since faxes are almost extinct, email would be a nice option.

There are a number of very low cost online virtual fax services. You can find them with an internet search. They will receive a fax for you and email the document to your address.

I have used that for broad cast fax in the past. There are many single serve versions out there.

Damn, Jim must like you better than me. I thought I was doing well with a 45 minute fax back once!

(In reality I was - it's a phenomenal thing we have access to such records!)

If you need it by fax, I (or someone else on PY) can receive and scan then email to you....

The online fax rates are cheap enough though.

There is also a smartphone app where you can take a photo, then "fax".....or receive a "fax" that goes to your email...print.

Faxing is actually expected to increase in next two years, I looked at our use of fax tech. at work last year and read its expected to increase.
(we get 15-35 a day via fax that are time sensitive reports that are then hard copied via mail)

They are there when someone walks by fax machine, usually at night they come in for next am so no employee waste of time, network problems, no access.....opening email then printing.

Read: 100,000,000 (mil) still in use and a number of reasons why faxing is still with us.....chain of custody, actually may be safer since dedicated lines are used...few more.....but its a lot easier in my opinion.

Happy to receive......

I just googled fax machines. Wal Mart has on for $39, and it doubles as a phone. I never thought of buying one, they are cheaper than I thought. Then all you guys without fax machines can have your PHS faxed to me , then I can email the copies to you. Promise, I wont look at the results. Ok, forget that last part. Now I,m looking into buying one. It also doubles as a great tool for those ignoring calls, just turn on the fax feature and let the caller get that ugly fax static or what ever its called.

thanks for the replys, buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, buzzzzzz, buzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, fax static

I just saw this after my last reply, this makes sense. A fax seems more secure in a way. From a home fax or a office fax that has a dedicated anolog line, your info never goes in the "so called cloud" less chance of hacking, just a thought. Kind of like using a tpyewriter and sending a letter by US Mail.
