Default 1965 TH 400 kick down switch into trans

HI,
i have a leak at kick down switch connector goes into the case ..
How can i replace only the O ring ?
Have i to remove the oil pan or can i do it from outside ?
Some pics of the part what i mean.

transmission pan yes. iirc you will be able to see clearly once the pan is off

The correct way is to remove the pan. I have removed the connector with vice grips without dropping the pan, but it doesn't always work.
