Default 67 wood wheel center parts on 68-70 bare wheel

I have a 67 wood wheel in my 64 Gto that needs redone, been running it for ten years with a cheap leather wrap.

When I was at the Charlotte autofair I looked at a 69-70 sport wheel.
I liked the fact it was not as deep and was a tad smaller in diameter but didn't like the black vinyl center for my car.
The wheels they had on display were complete so I could not get a good look at the bare center portion of the wheel.
In hindsight I'm kicking myself for not getting there help while there, but they were swamped with people
The question is

Can I put my 67 center cap pieces on the 68-70 wheel??

How are you accounting for the difference in steering column diameter between 64 and the 67 wheel now? If what you're doing now works for you, then changing the wheel and using your current pieces less the wheel will work. 68 up wheels have a satin finish vs chrome on 67 and back.

Default Steering Wheel

On a '69-'70 Wood Wheel, it will fit ONLY if the steering column is from either Flaming River or Ididit.
