Default Do Pitman arms go bad?

Have replaced the rest of the steering system, but the original pitman arm looks fine to me. Do these things go bad, and if so, how??

Attached a few pics.

Thanks!
Brad

They only go bad if they have been left loose at either end causing wear, otherwise they last forever.

Just to be clear the one in the picture does not have a wearable joint , there is some pitman arms that do have a wearable joint and do wear out .

Chrisp, can you name one? I've worked on all sorts of cars, and I've never seen one.

Knew about the center links (Ford comes to mind) but I did NOT know about the pitman arms on F-bodies. Thanks for the 'heads up".

OK, I am breaking out in question-marks... chrisp (or someone) please post a pic of the pittmann arm with a wearable/consumable end.

The point of a wearable joint is moot, concerning all cars covered by this subforum they don't wear out.
