Default What's it worth? 71 TA #'s match.

Gents, It's time to sell and I am looking to set a fair price on the car. 78k original miles, KR's all around including spare, PHS docs, 1500 miles since complete restoration. Never seen rain. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

My guess you need to list options or phs, and describe restoration level, engine work, what's all matching and what else is correct? Distr, carb, alt, heads are all important factors in a HO.

To get top dollar I'd say a matching M 22 is in order?

Wow, that is a fine looking TA. I agree with Mike, more info would be need to conclude the value. I have attached a couple links:

Options on PHS are RADIO-P/B, GLASS-S/R/AL, CONSOLE-FRT, AIR COND.
Engine had never been out of the car when I bought it. Original intake, carb, heads (197). Original spare with bias ply tire, the spare had never been out of the trunk. Alternator is not original. The trans I never checked but based on the mileage it should be original. I can verify if it's a big factor. The rear was rebuilt by DTS in Warren Mi. I replaced the 308 gear with a 342 to wake up the low end. I used a 71 HO distributor with a petronix setup so it appears stock. I have the original distributor that will go with the car. Heads and block redone. I can post a copy of work from engine builder. CompCam 51-222-4. Car starts right up without issue since restoration. The interior is original except shifter plate, package tray, carpet, and driver seat cover. There is a small paint run in the license plate opening, and a 1 inch hair line paint crack in one of the quarter spoiler caps. The seat belts show some age but are still very nice. Other than that the car is spectacular. Anything else to help with determining a fair price?

Inner fenders, shock towers, core support, pretty much all black components were powder coated.

I would say the trans has a vin usually and a date code. It does help in determining value. What trans code on the M40. What is carb too?

It's to cold in the garage today to be laying on the floor. I know I checked the carb when I got the car and it was correct. How much of a difference in price would a non-matching M40 make?

Original sheetmetal is also important when determining value.

If it was my car I would start in the high 40's and see what kind of action you get there. Nice car and good luck with the sale.

I would like to think 50K is NOT an unrealistic asking price.....

Looks like a FINE car.....

Can you post some interior pics?

50k would be a good starting point. Probably would sell in the low to mid 40's

Personally I don't think build date etc matter. If the car is original and has all the correctly dated componants...it is a 40-45k$ car all day long, on a real good day it is a 60K car. Sell it yesterday price..$35K..

In the current Hemmings Motor News there is a 70 Lucerne blue RAIII with 71,000 miles asking $59,500. There's also a 70 that is white, it states 400 HP engine 66,00 miles, 4 speed 3:88 posi for $38,450. Don't think it has the original motor. Asking $50K for yours seems fair.

I would agree with the 50k+ range.

Very nicely done.
