Angry BJ rant

I don't normally watch the BJ auctions, but I was watching the one over the week end (between time outs of the football games), and they had a segment where, I guess, you get to guess the sell price. They profiled a 69 Judge (gorgeous car) and the commentators (I forget their names) were going back and forth with the question: "Aren't people tired of these cars?"

These are the same idiots that drool all over themselves everytime a 69 Camaro SS clone (or re-creation, or tribute, or whatever they call them this week) comes across the block.

WTF????

Sorry, rant over. Please resume your regularly scheduled programming.

Unhappy Boring auctions

Auctions are to boring to waste your time on.

Live's to short to listen/watch grown people sell stuf , because that's all that they're about.

While I agree with you, guessing their comments came from the fact that there was Carousel Red Judge saturation at B-J this year. Think there were 10 of them and they all brought REALLY good money in my opinion, based on the authenticity of the cars.

x2

I call it the BJ Chevy & Ford show. They hate Pontiacs! Best year for Pontiac at this auction ever! They would not even raise a hood to show a Tri-Power engine.
Really enjoyed all the Camaro's going for $50K-

pretty much this.
my complain was WAAAAAYY to any early corvettes.
only One 69-73 Trans Am, that's probably because, unlike corvettes, the 69-73 Trans Am's actually ARE rare.

Didn't watch at all this year but last time I did I was really tired of every Mustang that Carrol Shelby breathed on going for 6 figures. I guess those guys never got enough of that.

Also, I believe BJ alone has sold more '69 Z-28's than Chevy ever made.

I still watch the actions, dvr and skip all the bs. bj is all a social event more than an auto action nowadays. It seems like every other car is for some charity, that's getting old and boring. I keep an eye on the prices being paid for nice musclecars only, especially trans ams.

I quit watching BJ years ago. I hate seeing a run of the mill 69 small block Camaro go for over $75k and a nicely restored 69 Talledega go for $27k. If it's Chevy it's automatically top dollar. Of course that is what they seem to promote more anyway.

Interesting that a business would publicly ostracize and entire market segment. Call them out on it.
