Adding a Return Line
Just wanted to post a pic or two from last weekend in case anyone else had it in their mind to add a return line. Wasn't terribly hard. The only thing I will suggest is to either keep the tube closer to the pickup tube or cut it shorter because it still has to go back in the hole in the tank. I had to bend it after I found out it wouldn't go back in the tank that way.
Live and learn.

Did you solder or use some type of sealer where the line goes thru the unit? I'm going to do something similar with mine. I'm going to drill and put a 1/2'' pick-up tube in and leave the stock 3/8 line for my return. I just haven't decided how to attach the new line to my sending unit. Maybe some fuel resistant epoxy..

I tried to solder it in but just with a soldering gun because I didn't want to over stress the sender with heat from a torch but the solder didn't want to stick to the top of the unit so I just used some JB above and below around the tube. The hole was perfect for size. I drilled it a little small and then opened it up with a rat tail file till the tube would just slip in. Nice snug fit.
