Shaker lid diameter........?
I'm sorting through some parts here and have two different diameters of T/A shaker air filter "domed" lids....13 1/4" & 14 1/4".........don't remember whch one is early vs later and no cars handy to check....
Looked in the parts book, but it offered no clue.....

The later Pontiacs and Olds came with 14 1/2" and 80-81 301 and 305 were smaller without a dome....as I recall.............

No, the 403 TA shakers came with the same 13-1/4" lid, I'm pretty sure.
1970-5 Pontiac TA (and '74 GTO) shakers had the 13-1/4" lid. 1976-9 Pontiac TA shakers had the 14-1/4" lid. Don't know about the Can Am units. |

I have a '75 455 TA shaker air cleaner base and it calls out the A366C filter and the lid is 13-1/4". They may have changed at some point in the '75 model year, but '76 and up used the A542C filter in the Pontiac engined shakers (again, I don't know about the Can Am), which used the 14-1/4" lid. The 1977-9 Olds 403 shaker bases call out the A366C filter, thus the 13-1/4" lid.
