67 Wipers wont turn off.
So when I got the 67 Tempest Wagon, the wipers were frozen. I got them broke free and lubed up. All is great!.
I drove in the rain on Friday from New Jersey to Connecticut. They worked fine as I used my hand as an intermittent wiper.. Started the car after a 3-4 hour rest and the wipers would not turn off. I removed the switch and the wipers still ON. I removed the plug under the hood to drive home. Switch, motor or wiring? Thanks Dave

Check and clean the contacts at the motor & the switch.
If they sit unused for long periods they will get funky. But it could be the sw has given up the ghost. My pump was sticking which will not allow the wipers to stop due to the continued rain

Had that trouble before and came down to bad ground to the wiper motor housing. Try a jumper wire from motor case to ground for a test.

The windshield cleaner pump?
Correct I pushed in the knob to clean my windshield and the bugger just kept pumping and the wipers kept flapping. My wife laughed her a$$ of while scrabbled to disconnect it Turned out to be dirty sw, cleaned it out of car with electrical spray cleaner and she was good to go! I don't used my wipers often enough so it just got a bit funky I guess. Now I make it a point to run/test all devices/switches at least once a month.
