The 1st dealer is Bendall.

Do you have the Billing history card?

yes I have the PHS, but I like to see the history as for ownership, my question is if I would want to put a dealer name on the car which would be correct ? the one in VA that the car was shipped to or the Baltimore dealership that sold the car NEW.

Default Selling dealer

The selling dealer gets the credit for the sale we call them dealer trades now the only thing we get credit for is the pre delivery inspection.

Id be curious to know how they did that with out computers back then. If a customer wanted a specific car, how could they search for it?

Somebody must have known someone.

It was common back then. My dad worked at a Chevy Dealership and I would swap cars for them all over New England from 62 to 70. As I remember it they would call around the different dealerships looking for a car with certain options/colors and then negotiate a swap. Anything I chased for was well broken in by the time it got hime.

The dealership I worked at would call around to see who had the car they would also contact the factory to see who ordered the car they were looking for.
