I don't know about the way you get to contact the seller. Give them your phone number & they will call you!!!!!! Why can't I call them, is the car not theres & there just trying to sell a picture & not a car. It's not like that car is really nice & they don't want anyone to know where the car is. I think I'd have to think twice about that one. I want to know where a car is so I might want to just drive by it to check it out first to see if it's a scam or not. Me i'll walk away from one like that.

Rex,
Most likely, they want you to email them through CL. Probably to weed out the spammers and time wasters, of which there are many on CL. Still, since there are so many scammers on CL, it is also possible they are the scammers, so it is buyer beware.

Its real. Just put a deposit on it. Real nice people and they gave me a good price. Solid NC car. documented one owner, still on original 1977 title. Solid car but does need resto. Numbers matching car front to back. Will keep you all posted when it gets here.

Hey glad you had a good experience with the buy, I'm not sure but just the way the ad was written made me a little antsy, but glad to here you got it & that it's another one of our cars that is going to be back up & looking fine & running strong. Keep us posted & get us some pics before during & after.

I kinda cheated, I have known about the car for about a year but the owner was just too high in his price ($4900 in first CL ad). We have been back and forth on the car for a while. We were in the final negotiations when I saw the ad (Thanks SSJ71). Probably his backup plan, lol.

Floors and trunk are good on the car. Has been in NC its whole life, until he bought it a couple of years ago. Will post PHS when it arrive and some good pictures

SSJ 71, Do you know Ted, he has an SSJ in your area?

Thats cool it came from NC .
I had one for about 15 years.

One sold new in my hometown of Greensboro NC.
I thought it was bad ass from first glance onward. Saw it right often for first several years it was on the road. Then it disappeared - then an older collector i knew found it and bought it.

Mine sold new in Texas and had White/Firethorn accent interior.
Wish i still had it.

If you need the interior plastics replaced - i have a COMPLETE SET of everything plastic for the interior of one - except maybe not the front lower kick panels.
A few pieces i have more than 1 set.
Brown and Black were the only colors that had a chance of holding up to exposure.
Most all is brown or black i have.
Some red seat belt stuff.
And some miscellaneous knick knacks.

Start a new thread in the 73-77 section when you get pics and PHS and we'll all follow you there.

Congrats

His last post was 10-03 but was on PY last 10-18-13.

I was hoping to see the cars docs, I think I know it...but always interesting to see one owner paperwork.

Perhaps he hasn't got it home...?
