Rule "of thumb" is minimum thread length must exceed bolt (stud) diameter. For a 7/16" stud, have at least 1/2" thread above the trundle. Assure rocker arm geometry (pushrod length) before measuring this.

I surely dont want to jack-thread, but heres what happen with my Proform roller rockers and a word of advice.... I was told to stay away from these rockers, tried them anyway as they were cheap. All 16 of them are cracked, one summer, 1500miles, only a handful of pass at the strip. I can nick them with a fingernail....

Keep a close eye on them...

We busted up a set of Scorpion roller rockers in a "race" application.

Rule of thumb for any fastener is 5 full turns to achieve full strength of the nut or fastener. For a rocker arm locknut, I would make sure they are not less than 5 turns when you reach the correct adjustment.....Cliff

Flat tappet. Lunati 10703 (041 RAIV cam clone), .470 lift with the 1.5 rockers and Rhoads lifters. ARP studs and the Procomp polylocks that came with the rockers. Adjusted 1/2 turn.

Nothing 'major' here. I dont want to offend anyone using these rockers, but they are junk.

I now use Harland Sharp 1.65 and PRW steel roller rockers.
