Default coffee drys up inside CRT monitor in 6hrs.

Just in case you were wondering how long it takes for coffee to evaporate....... I spilled a cup of coffee into the vents on the top of my CRT Monitor this morning at 11:40 and of course it went dark; it took until 5:40pm for it to dry up enough to stop rerouting electrons.....

That's good to know. Another thing is that coffee spilled on a laptop can work it's way down to the mouse pad and disable it in about 15 minutes and cost $100 to get a used replacement installed. Just in case that you ever wanted to do that.

Not today, but maybe next week.

Soda doesn't work well lubricating a keyboard.

Coke poured in a nice Casio calculator can be washed out under the faucet and dried in the sun.

If you want the screen to get bigger, try watering it. I've heard talking to it works too.

Not sure. When you check it out let know if it's the cream and sugar or just straight up that causes it to fail.

PS Mine was cream and sugar.

Coffee with honey poured in the shifter and console of a 99 Firebird dried out well enough, but required disassembly and washing. When I was a field tech I lost count of the number of keyboards I washed in office restrooms or break rooms.

What was the ambient temp? Makes a big difference if it's 30F or 120F

So I have to ask, is Juan Valdez now showing up as your desktop background?

Seriously, liquids in electronics is usually a death knell. Glad it's working.

I went to use my wireless mouse the other day. Some kind of liquid came out of it. I asked my wife if she accidentally spilled something on it. She said no.
Maybe a battery leaked. I took the batteries out, shook it some more and more liquid came out.
I tried new batteries and it still didn't work.
Figured I had to dry it out. Sooooo, I put it in the microwave. Set it on "popcorn" and boy did I get a light show.
Mouse is totally kaput now.

IF you want to try to dry out electronics, put it in the oven, door stays open, set to low heat, like 200F. max.

About six years ago I put the groceries in the trunk of my 70 GTO and took all of them inside (or so I thught).
Well my car started smelling like Hoffa was in the trunk and I looked and looked and found nothing.
Finally a month later I found a 3lb bag of what was fresh shrimp down in the bottom of the trunk quarter panel.

Some of them where dried out
