Default Tom DeMauro leaving HPP

Just read in the October 2013 issue of High Performance Pontiac that Thomas DeMauro is leaving the Editor position. Tom has been with HPP since 1993. Tom if you are reading this......just want to say thank you for all the great articles and features you have written for HPP and your contribution to the Pontiac Hobby. Best wishes in your new endeavor!

Hmmmmm..... I wonder if there was anyone who is fluent on this board that might take his position? Someone who might be VERY active with Smoke Signals??

Just wondering.

Tom has done an excellent job at HPP and had to work hard to do it. I came in contact with a little of that hard work when he came to Phoenix each year to cover Pontiac Heaven. I always assumed he was the driving force behind the magazine. I hope he is replaced by someone as capable and dedicated as he has been. And I hope he does well in his future endeavors.

I had heard the rumor but didn't know it was official. HPP is losing the best they ever had. Tom carried quite a load to make that magazine hit the mailbox every month. Thank you Tom for all you have done over the years and we will all be looking forward to your work with Hemmings.

Quite the news flash!

Thanks for 20 years of HPP magazine greatness, Tom.

Hope that this doesn't mean the beginning of the end for HPP . . .

Tom has done a great job at HPP. I hope the change is his choice and that he ends up with an even better position.

Years ago my son [who absorbs car magazines] said he always bought ANY magazine that had Tom's name on the masthead. It's easy to see why.
Good luck Tom.

Ditto as written and highlighted, could not have stated it any better.

HPP will never be the same. Hope the new endeavor is a long and fruitful one for Tom.

If so it will be the begining of the end of HPP. Unless it's Rocky...then it's all good IMO.

So that's why HPP offered me 3 more years at a discount.
