Default 65 steering wheel value

So I am parting out a 65 Catalina and have had a few people ask about the steering wheel. I think that I am going to sell it and think that I may have a buyer, but I would like to get an opinion on what this thing is worth from you guys so that the deal is fair between both parties. I have been watching the market and have seen NOS ones go for $1200, very vey nice used ones go for $750, very nice ones go for $400 and some not so nice ones go for over $200. This wheel is in very nice condition but has some cracks in the red, so it fits somewhere in between. The chrome though is very very nice. I know that at the end of the day, the buyer and seller have to reach an agreement on value, but I am just having a difficult time pricing this thing. Opinions are like ....... so I now you guys have one right? plus it's kind of fun to see nice parts. So value of wheel, value of horn, or value of the combo. Thanks all and enjoy the pics.

If it was mine, I would not take less than $350.00 for it, unless I needed fast cash.

I believe the wheels are the same, but may have another color paint on the horn area? Seen some that have the green/blue paint vs black that is on this one.

As far as dash pads, I am not sure. I have pics in the for sale section of the dash pad, it is the short padded one not the full padded dash, check it out and let me know.

65 and 66 dash pads are not the same ...but you can make them work. A/C or no A/C?

I think that wheel is closer to $500, looks really nice and is red.

Wheels are the same, the only time it has a different listing is when they changed the name of the color (blue charcoal to gunmetal for example) but shows the same p/n

I think the 1/2 dash pad, full dash pad are the same as well on non a/c cars, but the parts book is a little confusing on the pads.

I'm thinking closer to $500 also. I was asked $300 for a green one several years ago that was about 60% of this one. It is about as nice as you can ask for without being restored.

On the full pads, GP and Bonneville, 65 and 66 are different only in the nose. We pulled a perfect plum pad from a 65 Bonneville and the nose is chiseled, the 66 pads are rounded.

The map light is in a different position between 65 + 66 so you have to do a little modifying to accommodate for that.

The wheels in that condition (couple of small cracks) go for between 3 & 400. I have been looking at them for years and just bought one in that range.

I would sell the bar and cap separate.

As a guide for you, I just sold my black deluxe wheel for $725.00. It did not have the cracks or splits yours has, but yours does look great. The buyer and I both felt that the price was a fair one and we were both happy.

Yea, yours was one that I was looking at and considered very very nice condition as stated above and that is why I had a hard time pricing it. I had an idea in my head and was confirmed here. Not sure when a red wheel in this condition is going to come up again, so I believe that the seller (me) and the buyer have the same idea on price on this one. I will confirm this in the next few days.

Thanks guys for your opinions!!

If there are no cracks in the translucent part of the rim, I would call it a $500 wheel. The cracks in the red part are repairable - not so much in the clear.
