Default Any update on Steve Hoog?

I looked at his profile and he hasn't been on in a while. I don't know him personally, but have talked back and forth with him a time or two here on PY. Hope he is hanging in still.

He's going through chemo again, had a tough stint in the hospital where they didn't get his meds right & he was in a lot of pain. It didn't look good there for several days but thankfully he got through that and is back at work.

He & his son got their car running and made it to the Tulsa show a few weeks back - even though the weather was ****ty they made it!

funny you ask, he just left my house a few minutes ago. he had me seriousy worried last week as chris said, he got a stomach virus and med things and that with the chemo he dropped 20 lbs, but has put back on most of it and looked really good tonight. he has made a remarkable recovery since then. he felt good enough today that he came out tonight with his son got a bumper for his car. however he has to do another round of chemo this Friday so everyone keep him and his family in your prayers. thanks from me, him, all his family and friends.

I just got unhooked today from my own every other week chemo treatment.

Stay positive man.

I'm alive still.

The cancer is well under control; but I have to take periodic does of chemo to keep it down.

The chemo is what's about to kill me. Did a round last weekend, will do this coming weekend, and maybe two more after that. I nearly died from pain this last Saturday; but here I am with another work week under way.

This is my latest post to family about my doctor visit yesterday: Basically what it comes down to is he was not going to issue anymore chemo orders; I have crossed the line of quality of life as they put it, as in the side effects out way the reason for taking it. He wants to do a PET and CT to see exactly where I am at this point and consider radiation. I am not real excited about that prospect. When it comes down to the line of suffer or die; it's just a little more complex when you are actually faced with it, than just thinking about what you would do in the position. I insisted that I put myself through one more chemo as it will certainly add a month of decent time after the three weeks it takes to recover from it, so this Friday may be my last one.

Steve... spend as much time as you can with your family. Make some really great memories for your kids... If there is anything I can do just call.
