Thank you; looks great. I'll pour over it at lunchtime and make some comments (I see it's a Fremont built car built for California sale).

You also mentioned you had the build sheet? Can you post that as well? Also - it is a good idea to cover up the last few digits of the VIN when you post these.

Lastly - can you post a pic of the cowl tag? (from the front of dash)

I think having done that you will have satisfied my lust for documents and appeased my curiosity.

Thanks again and thanks in advance -

K

Yes Keith, awesome car. Still love my GTO, which I've owned for 25 years, but I've been using the Safari MUCH more since buying it. Have a new respect for the big cars now and could see one day swapping the GTO for say maybe a '65 2+2 ?

Excellent... I can say this shade of blue, with the single white pin stripe and redlines brings many admirers.

Well played, sir. Welcome to the Darkside. That 4 speed conversion was awe inspiring.

The quarter and tail panel you changed out looked pretty decent...Were they rusted out, lots of filler or what? Work looks really good so far..

The car was hit on the passenger rear and front driver side some time in its life. But the back quarter was all filled in with mud, the new metal was pretty good, but still had to do a lot of work.

I'm a big option guy Like seeing the cars with all the goodies. Mine originally came with some nice extras, stickered about $3,445. I added others that I liked, and sticker totaled $4,615.

Very nice, allways liked looking at the loaded up cars, looks like yours and mine where ordered by the same person but mine is a september built pontiac michigan car. Looking at your pictures I can see a few differances between yours and mine, what does the vacuum tank on the driver inner fender do? mine dosn,t have that but I do have one in the front of the passenger inner fender for the auto trans and the tri power I believe. Again very nice, looking forward to seeing your car at Dayton this summer I hope to have mine ready to go by then but have motor issues right now might not be done in time. jd grim 66 GTO

I still have a lot of work once I get her back from the paint shop. I’m getting ready to order my Interior (Legendary) if anyone knows anything about them I would appreciate feed back.
Vacuum tank???????? Not sure what you’re seeing. I do not have the CA air pollution equipment on my car or don’t know if it ever had it.

I used Legendary, good stuff, as others will also tell you.
Maybe he means what looks like an alarm siren on the inner fenderwell?
