All I would want to say is, tread lightly. I see an Andrew Tuttle (Monticello, MN) is linked with Dennis (son???) listed in thread above.

Or, Eden Prairie?

Still states ongoing. Restitution hearing next month, but could be on his fines. Had jail time.

I did a search for dennis tuttle and came up with andrew as an alias. A friend met a guy about 6 months ago that said his name was chris tuttle from minnesota and had some nos gto sheet metal he wanted to sell, long story short, said he was coming this weekend to drop off a car in nearby town and could deliver a car back to minnesota that my friend had sold to another guy. So he put them in touch together and they worked out a deal. In the meantime, my friend said he might know someone interested in buying nos sheetmetal, me. So he calls me and tells me how much and i said ok but the guy wants $500 sent to him ahead of time so i do a little investigating and came up with the name dennis and the stories we found match what this guy has told my friend. Same guy? Dont know but im not sending any money till i see the parts in person!

Be very careful!!!!! I was supposed to buy a car from Dennis Tuttle. He kept asking me for money, but I was not willing to pay anything until I saw the car in person. He sent me pics that I later found were taken from someone elses ad. He is a scammer. Look him up in the Minnesota court system or just google his name.

That guy called me too. Said he had a '71 Judge and wanted to sell it cheap. He said he didn't have a bank account and wanted me to send him a bunch of money orders. I searched for him on the web and found his arrest record. He's looking for stupid people....don't be one of them.

Dam
Quote:
Minnesota man must repay $30,000

A 47 year old Minnesota man must repay a Dodgeville man for a car he never received.
Dennis R. Tuttle, Monticello, MN, entered a not guilty plea to a charge of theft by false representation over $10,000.00. He was found guilty and sentenced to four years probation. He was also ordered to pay the court $30,125.00 with $3750.00 every six months.
Tuttle was convicted of taking $30,000 from Will Rule, 62, rural Mineral Point and not delivering a 1969 Pontiac GTO Judge Ram Air. After a middleman, Arthur Bookman, showed Rule pictures of the car and obtained the cash.
Tuttle gave Rule a receipt and promised delivery of the car "in the next few days," saying it was enroute on a semi trailer. When the car did not arrive, Rule attempted to contact Tuttle and found out he was in jail in Minnesota for running a similar scam there.
Bookman was not charged in the matter as Rule felt he was a broker acting in good faith.
Tuttle could have been imprisoned for 10 years and fined up to $25,000 for the crime.
The Iowa County Sheriffs Department investigated the incident.
