It would be fun to buy it, get it running/driving (probably have to fix/replace the frame), and leave it cosmetically just like it is. Take it to Norwalk and other Pointiac events. Step back and watch the reactions.......drive it around, etc.

The 2500$ is totally worth it if the drivetrain is salvageable (and original). The dash pad looks ok..

I talked to the seller and he seems like a straight forward guy. He admitted that the car was parked about 25 years ago and has sat outside ever since. The engine has the correct YZ code, but he couldn't read the VIN. He has only owned it one month. I bet it's all original, but who knows if the engine is any good. That's a long time to sit with bad antifreeze.

I am the new proud owner of this piece of crap, but its my piece of crap. I own a 69 TA clone, a 67 GTO conv. clone and now a real 69 Judge. It may never see the road again but its going to look purdy in the shop. The seller has had some shady offers and squeezed some extra cash out of me before he accepted paypal. I agree Geeteeohguy. it would be a huge hit.

Seriously, Muscatine, I think you did fine on the car. If you were to get it running/driving, I guarantee you it would draw bigger crowds at any car show than the restored Judges would. Guaranteed. You'll get all of the status for none of the money. Win-win. And nobody will ask you if it's a clone. I say go for it!!!

Muscat

Full disclosure of the official paint color is a must! Do you have the PHS yet to verify it is a real one? Common sense would say that is probably the original paint and stripes; but then again sitting outside for just 20 to 30 years might do that to the paint, so you never know.

Im not sure why but I kinda like that idea...It would draw more attention than any other GTO. Is that the rear bumper on the ground and part of the frame?

Shame...

Sad thing is it probably had some minor issue if any when parked...and the owner was probably asked many times over the years if it's for sale..."nope, I'm going to fix 'er up...not for sale"
..and so it sits and rots away, another dreamer destroys a great car.

I'm thinking Limelight with saddle guts. A damn fine combo!

That all should buff right out!

Definately would be an attention getting "resto", maybe even a new take on "patina". Would be cool to restore the mechanicals and whatever was needed for saftey, and take it to shows.

Could be Limelight, but it looks more like Antique Gold to me.
