Does it look like this plug is leaking?
This is the distributor oil plug I think. It is on the back of the engine near a freeze plug.
It could be leaking oil or maybe it just has oil from a leaking rear main or oil pan that got thrown up to the area by the flywheel. Your Thoughts? thanks Ray |

I guess the engine is out or about to have a trans. bolted up, so why not just change it to be safe??? Ad some real good thread sealant to the plug and reinstall it??? Personally i don,t think its leaking would be dripping more than pictured. Just my opinion.

Yes the motor is out to fix a oil leak. I was thinking a rear main or oil pan gasket.
I may fix all 3 just to be safe. |

CYA,,,you are there, better safe than sorry. Pull the plugs, clean up & reinstall with pipe dope sealant.

Looks to me like the goo on the plug IS sealer that someone didn't wipe off after screwing the plug in.
