Default hood pin size?

I need to get hood pins for a 66 A body, what height do I need? There is a variety of heights available. I will definitely get stainless or aluminum as opposed to chrome, and I don't want a lanyard. Any other recommendations? Thanks

Mitch, there were a couple of GTOs in the Modified section at the PY Open House. Tho not sure if they're members here or not. One was parked next to me with the American flag flying.... Blue 67 GTO (IIRC) witht he dark blue flames on it. I think the owner's name was Mark(again IIRC). I think he has photos of his car somewhere here in PY in the 'Let's see your 66-67 Lemans/Tempest' thread.

I can only think of this one http://forums.maxperformanceinc.com/...highlight=1967 but no hood pins. There were two with flames next to each other, maybe the other one had them.

Ok, that was the Post 67 GTO. The one next to me was the Hardtop and had the hood pins. He was from Maryland.

Sorry I wasn't able to get over by my car yesterday but I got there tonight. So the overall height of the entire pin is 4" There is 2.5" of threaded area, 1.5" of smooth. The hole for the securing pin is 1/2" down from the top.

Hope this helps.

Thanks William, that helps a lot. Now I can place that order with Jegs.
