Default A General Lee Charger on ebay

Look at this pic and tell me if you think it is fake. It's not casting a shadow at all.

Judging from the rest of the shadows. I'd say it's shadow is some where between the truck and the cop car. Plenty of pics and documentation offered. The auction seems to be on the up and up to me.

Bid is $3800, I bet a LOT less than he was expecting.

To me the pic looks like it's been photoshopped.

Methinks the only really valuable General Lee's are the ones from the original TV series, not from the 2005 movie.

Expand the picture. The body is casting a shadow on the left side tires that matches the angle of the shadows on the front of the building. I think it's real.

Better yet, my brother did some of the editing for the movie. I'll ask him to look at it and report back.

There's no question in my mind that it's photoshopped. Car may be legit and probably is but the pic is fake...in my opinion. The exposure, focus, lighting, etc. looks different than everything else in the pic to me.

Funny, I saw the General Lee sitting at a glass place in Brenham TX less than a month ago.

There's a 1968 version about 2 miles from me at MAACO right now.
I tried Youtube for the movie clip showing the jump stunt. There're too many clips to browse through to locate it.

I sent the E-bay link to my brother. Official word from him is that it was a genuine stunt. He would know.

Its fake. No way the car in motion would be clearer then the parked car.

hmm. I don't really know but... maybe it is what they call these days an 'authentic reproduction?'

A door? Picture number four shows the interior from the passenger side and clearly the door is open. Why would they only weld one door shut?

Car form the flop of a movie from 2005 isn't worth much. If it was from the show, different story.

I think they have national BubbaFests where people who have made clones (every town has one) get togethor and hang with all the other General Lee's. I would guess there are at least a hunnerd or two of them things around.

Our local body man was the Michigan representative for Carl Casper auto shows.

He made at least fifteen or twenty General Lee's for car shows here, after which they were shipped back to California for use in filming.

They got to where they could paint the flag on the roof start to finish in the length of time it took me to drink a 12 oz Coke.

Towards the end they were getting to be mostly bondo. He said "if you are watching and you see a big pink cloud after the car lands, you'll know it was this one...

I wouldn't want to own one since it will soon be declared a moving hate speech billboard what with that racist and evil Slavery flag on the roof. Even NASCAR said so.

It's part of our heritage and supported by at least one past president of the NAACP.

Remember the saying - I may disagree with what you are saying but will defend to my death you're right to say it. Seems we've thrown that to the wind in the name of political correctness.
