Default '69 4-speed ragtop...

Once again...offering up my 84 year old Dad's ragtop. Had this ready to sell at Norwalk last year but personal issues kept us home. Need to get new pix this week for E-Bay...just putting out the word here for those that know the car. Stuck on $35K firm, about what we have invested...sans labor. Has "correct WT build by Hillard's Automotive to RA III specs w/RA IV cam...sort of. Has RA manifolds and pans...IV cam. Original 3.55 gears...rebuilt 4-speed and Pete Serio rebuilt shifter. All new...factory Matador/red buckets. We didn't put the console back in...personal preference. Also changed black top to white...same reason. Glass back window. All chrome replaced or refurbished. New PY wood wheel going on today. Hate to see it go...hate to see it sit! Not doing it any good. Will have it at Norwalk this year if nobody steps up. Not a fire sale...just trying to find her a nice home. Thanks. Ron

my son doesn't want it to go since it is the last car we all worked on together and there for certain will not be another. Honestly...I share his sentiments. We'll see. Take care. Ron

if my "interested party" doesn't pull the trigger on this car this week...I may have it at Springfield Cars and Parts Memorial Day weekend...with the top down...of course! Ron

Cool Sorry...

Didn't make Cars and Parts meet...too hot and dusty for me! Will shoot for GoodGuys in Columbus and then Norwalk if still available. If my '64 happens to go first...may keep the ragtop. Did I mention that I am no good at decision-making? Thanks again. Ron

Question One last bump...

wondering if anyone is interested in at least seeing the car at Norwalk. Most likely won't go if not. Cheaper and easier to E-Bay and really no desire to beat myself up in the heat...can't get around like I used to either. Anyway...just curious and sorry I won't see some of you there as I had hoped. Take care. Ron

I keep looking at this car....I really like it.

Problem is I'd have to sell something to get it. I keep thinking to put my 72 TA up for sale to go for this, then I go out an rip through the gears and figure I need to keep it.

I have the same decision problem....It's a good problem to have!

sounds like ya need to "rip thru the gears" of THIS one! We purposely didn't install a posi unit just for this very reason. The cam in this car begs for R's! Pulls hard and keeps on pullin'. Heads are heavy breathers, too. Actually came off of our 10 second '64 GTO when Dino bought the Kaufmanns. Yep...Dave Hillard did us right on this one! One Rapid Red Ragtop! What could be more fun? Just sayin'. Ron

If I can drive 14 hours to get to Norwalk, you can drive a few within your state!

Got my tickets back this week! Mike is bringing his wife and I'm bringing a long lost friend from way back in the 80's. Restored the 66 red 'vert that took 'Best Restored' in '89.

Did I meet him then? That's the car you had first time we met...right? No...that was the '65...I think. Anyway...gettin' some hits on the '69 ragtop so I'll either be driving it or the '64 if the '69 is sold first. Love to cruise up with the top down but money talks! Hell...someone ponies up the cash for the '64 and we'll walk home. BTW...Kevin's comin' as well! See ya there. Take care. Ron

Thumbs up OK...

car still for sale and should be standin' tall at Norwalk. Doubt if it will be in the Cars For Sale area...just gonna have the signs in it and most likely leave it in the pits. Still...shouldn't be too hard to find me! See y'all there! Ron

I've had some unexpected problems come up Ron. Looks like it's day to day for me at this point. Still hoping to make it.

anything I can do? If ya wanna stay here and save some moolah...say the word! I just got back from a three day "camping trip" at a vintage motorcycle meet that damn near killed me...so no more sleepin' on the ground in my future...but it's only a couple hours or so to Norwalk from here. Anything I can do...just say the word! I even have an "extra" GTO! Hope to see ya, man. Best wishes. Ron [740-215-1742...my only phone now.]
