Default 2000+ HP Engine Dyno in the Northeast

I’m looking to have a Boosted Holley Dominator EFI engine dyno tuned, are there any reputable shops in the Northeast? I have a couple of other shops in mind, but I’d prefer to do this somewhat local.

Andy Jensen has a newer Stuska 2000HP? But he really don't do any boosted stuff on it. Not saying that he wouldn't but you would have to call.. 570-379-3069.. I would even give you a hand if he would go for it! I would recommend a chassis dyno ... Frank from PSI Motorsports (outside Allentown in new Tripoli)) would be a good choice and has a lot of boosted NO HOW! Here is the linkhttp://www.psimotorsportsinc.com/.........Jim

Got this info from YB:
Paul Krauss @ PK Machine in Fitchburg Mass can probably do it and a little further south is Billy Carlquist in Waterbury CT. Paul has a SuperFlow 901 & Billy has a DTS. They have both done EFIed engines on thier dynos previously. I dont beleive either of them are EFI tuners personally but they both know people if you are not up to the task personally.
The 2000+HP might be an issue with 2 dynos mentioned.

Maryland Performance (301) 371-8883 has a SuperFlow 902 Pro and it is capable of handling over 3000HP.
It is totally EFI compatible and they have a very experienced tuner on site

You need at least the "SF-902 Upgrade" to get to +2000 HP on a Superflow 901 Dyno.

So how much "Boost Time" does Maryland Performance have? Everyone seems to have 3000 hp dynos (based on comments from racers) and at the end of the day the dynos have support systems (Fuel Systems, etc) that are good for 1500 hp.

Maryland performance is about 15-20 min away from me. They flowed our port work and did the valve job on our heads.

Anyone familiar with these guys?

http://lonniehoude.com/services.htm

In conjunction with Quest Racing Engines, Lonnie Houde Performance also offers a water brake engine dyno featuring a Digilog/AVL control system and a Froude F-24 Water Brake, considered the most advanced engine dyno service available to the public on the North American continent, with a capability of handling race engines making in excess of 2800 ft/lbs and 3400hp at 11,000rpm.

Ed,
I would suggest you get in direct contact with Tom Vaught for selection a sutable dyno.

I was under the inpression the engine builder was going to handle this end of your deal?

Castner Performance in Penn Yan NY specializes in building/tuning Super Stock diesel pulling engines, typically 4-stage turbo'd pushing way past 200 PSI boost. I believe their dyno will handle up to 4,500 ft.lb.

I made my recommendation a while back but it is a long haul from where Ed lives to the shop. Less pain when the Dyno shop is right down the street. In my case 275 miles away.

The engine is being built at BES, and will be dynoed "naturally aspirated" there from the discussions I have had with Ed. Tony is the best and has done boost in the past but Ed wants 2000+ HP in the near term and Tony's dyno has not been upgraded to that HP level yet. Tony has the parts to upgrade the dyno to the 902 specification: 2400+ hp.

You also need a proper fuel system to make 2000+ HP which is why I think Marty Palbykin was smart years ago to to build his Boosted fuel system on the car then take the whole fuel system to the dyno as a unit and run that system on the dyno. He had a way to VERIFY that the system WAS able to support the HP level.

Anyone close to BES "27545 State Road 1 Guilford, IN 47022" have a spare distributor we can use for the NA dyno pulls? The FAST Dual Sync Distributor we have isn't going to work.

Thanks!

I would think that Lynn M would have several Point or HEI type distributors an hour away at his home.
