Question E-bay: how does it work?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=170665766096

Guys,

This particular type of sale uses both Buy it Now, and Best offer features.

So..........just what would happen next, under both conditions if someone actually pulls the trigger on this here car?

My first time selling anything of such significance on e-bay with this listing.

I think the way you have it set up, either someone will buy it for 22k with buy it now or submit an offer which you can decline, accept, or counter offer.

Nice car BTW, wish I could pull off buying this one.....

You did it right. You can accept or decline ANY offer, except the 'Buy It Now'

Thanks! I've heard from time to time that they had changed policy and required it. Got one I need to move.

If no one buys it, you might want to be careful with your pics. I see you have old pics with the fender damage and everything. I'm not sure, but it might throw some people off.

Understood.......but I included them because they were actually scanned photos, and have the year 2000 wrote on them. I thought that reasonable folks can have no problem comprehending the now/then of it all.

There's also a way to contact me if ?'s arrise, so.........

Thanks though!

no, but I would accept a downpayment that way. you'll get a verified address with it, and some protection

So like.......no responses, but plenty of lookers/watchers it seems. I guess an offer or two (auto declined).

Should I expect someone to pull the trigger to offer or buy, real close to the end then typically; if it's gonna happen at all?

Think I've got it set up to get all the test pilots, tire kicker's and klerks out.

If the car doesn't sell, I would wait several weeks, find a location with an uncluttered background, retake the pictures under softer light conditions (Early evening when the sun is going down, an overcast day, etc.) then relist the car.

OK, with that advice............leave it a classified ya' think or try an online auction instead?

Thanks for chiming in!

I would of left off the old/damaged pictures, they are of no benefit to you as a seller and they will at first confuse buyers. Its best not to put in anything that might confuse as it sometimes can not be overcome by some buyers. Your unnecessarily cutting down on potential buyers.
