Default 1970 Firebird Twin Turbo

Hello. I am a new member to this forum and wanted to share a build I just completed prior to the SEMA show last fall.

We recently put the engine on a resistance dyno to completely dial it in. It produced 1012 hp and 950 lbs/tq at 5600 rpm and 12.72 lbs boost and pump gas. I think we’ll keep it there for now as I learn how to drive this beast. Here’s a link to that dyno pull:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GsNyy...&feature=email

Here’s also a tour of the finished product:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f93GC...eature=related

Let me know what you think. Thanks!

Without having to watch videos, what engine is in your car? block? heads? crank? intake? etc.

I think the craftsmanship looks well-thought out. Styling points are cool. As if the shop was capable of Limited Production.

I assume the 1/4 mile times will be QUICK, yet stick-driver dependent into the 8's. Can that Keisler Stick handle the 1000HP? I mean with traction or Hop?

10" fronts 12" rears; can it autocross?, or GT across the U.S.?

I guess I'll take you at your word as I cannot recognize anything Pontiac in there ( is it just me?). valve covers, heads, alt mount, belt, etc. could be anything under there.

Congrats on your power accomplishments.

""""""Ross custom forged pistons 8.5:1 compression ratio"""""" ::::We got the SAME slugs. Nicely done.

""""""Tremec TKO 500 5-speed manual transmission"""""" :::: Video says keisler transmission, so guessing THAT didn't last long?

Jesus Christ, Steve. It's NOT a corporate engine. The video clearly shows from the passenger side of the block that it has traditional Pontiac cylinder heads. Why would he make up all of that data if it weren't a traditional Pontiac?

Wow a lot of custom stuff in there. I can appreciate the amount of work that went into that.

The car looks to be very well thought out and executed. What are you doing about air filters? I like the custom bodywork touches to the roof and deck area. Fender treatment behind the front wheels is not my cup of tea, but works with the overall "road race" look of the car. Definately a road car and not a drag race machine, but 9 second timeslips wouldn't be out of the question. A coworker of mine owns a mid-90's Lexus 4-door with one of those hot-rodded Supra engines that is set up similar to this, and was dyno'd at over 800-HP with a race gas tune...he's been 10.50 @ 140-MPH with it, granny shifting it and launching easy.

Relax people, all I said was I could not recognize it in the pics. Did not say anything bad.. I even complimented on the power output. and no, I guess I have never done anything 'custom'. calm down now. if I am wrong, show me in the pic where I can recognize it, that is not a good or a bad thing, just a fact.

Real class there. So, if I do not agree with you, that makes me an 'a h'? What would it make yourself? You are a bit touchy

The man asked my opinion and I gave it. simple simple
