Have to admit if you want a laugh you can get it from "Max and Al commercial"

I mentioned them briefly in this topic:

http://forums.maxperformanceinc.com/...d.php?t=649061

The GM Ad Guys already had a couple of "Old Fat Guys" in the "Max and Al" Chevrolet Silverado Truck "pulling a tree stump" commercials (using a couple of Fat Comedians).

The Ford Guys didn't need "comedians", they used Engine Dynos and Real World "pulling demonstrations" at an actual Logging Camp.

Tom, the new Powerstroke is tough!

If GM wasn't worried they wouldn't be doing this...

I just saw the new 3/4 ton version, LMAO!

Always liked competition. We will see how it plays out.

You have to ask yourself what a smile is worth though. Max and Al make me smile!
Kind of like the "Where's the beef?" old lady.

I was thinking more along the lines of the Isuzu guy from the 80's that lied about everything.

And what I've noticed is they have left to Cummins powered Dodges alone. That would be a good war then. Ford has done their homework and I think what they have come up with is better than the old IH engines of years ago, which in my opinion was a very durable engine.

I rode in a new P stroke 6.7 damn thing was up to 95 in no time and its quiet; it doesnt even sound like a diesel. Damn things a powerhouse -
But the D-Maxx has a proven record - the 6.7 doesn't have one yet

They'll need sympathy cards for their customers if the 6.7 turns out to be as bad as the 6.0 was. There's some on the dieselforum that have had their cams go bad already.

Are you saying 455Grandville that the cams were bad in the 6.0L or the 6.7L engine?

Help me out there

Still never heard or read anything that said what the actual issues were with the engines.

Likely didnt cost Government Motors a penny. Just pay them in some of those tax dollars they got laying around.

LOL..... true.....They dropped some coin on the marketing, which isnt that great imo.

No telling what they paid.

See MAX and ALs website.

Who needs this video entertainment when buying a truck?

Although I like the D-Max , I'm still skeptical of the longevity of an aluminum head on a diesel. There have been million mile International powered Fords and Cummins powered Dodges, but I have yet to hear of a D-Maxx doing that and wonder how they'll hold up for with those heads.
Every diesel Ive seen taken down with aluminum heads always seems to have cracks.
There's a reason big diesels stick with cast iron heads.
