Default AC wires?

From reading a bunch of posts about plug wires I know most of you guys use MSD, Taylor, Accel etc.
I'm assuming [maybe wrongly so] thats because most of you have electronic ignitions.

But I have a stock dist. with a petronix chip in it.

My question is, would the stock 7mm A/C wires be ok with that or would one of the other 3 be a better choice?
Thanks
Mike

Stock, good quality wires are fine, as long as the spark plug gap is standard, such as .035.

Increasing the gap causes the coil to develop higher voltage, which may cause an older or poor quality set to misfire. You can always upgrade the wires, but with your ignition, a standard 7mm set will be fine as long as the plug gap is correct.

Thanks George...
I'm useing the NGK plugs all gapped at .035.
What would I "upgrade the wires" to, and what would the difference be?
Thanks
