Default Can someone give me specs or pic of a clutch return spring and extension?

My previous post got moved, but at this point I don't necessarily want to buy a part, I just need help with a pic and approx. length so I can modify my existing, and much too long, Camaro extension rod, and ensure I have an appropriate length spring.

Anyone have a 1969 4 speed car, a camera or a tape measure that can help me out?

THANKS!

Sounds like the '69 MT cars only used a spring to go between the frame bracket and clutch rod, and not an extension Rod at all.

Anyone have a good spring or know of a supplier for one of the stock dimensions and tension? 2.5" long, .75" thick?

The only reference I have is my '67 OHC-6 with the 3-speed Saginaw manual, which is what I stayed tied up with all day today. Tomorrow I will get you a photo of my return spring and rod with reference dimensions. I am also attaching a couple of pages from the manual. Maybe it will help you.

I got these pictures from the '69 TA barn find build. I had always thought there was an extension rod as shown in the illustration manual, but I guess not. Sorry, no dimensions.

HFR's has the right stuff!!! The spring pictured is all you need for V8 setup. This spring's function is to keep pressure on the clutch fork adjusting rod to hold it in the little "cup" on the clutch fork. Otherwise it could drop out when clutch is released suddenly.

Here's something for dimensional reference.

HFRansom's piicture says it all. I checked mine this morning. You need the plate that attaches to the frame and the spring hooks to that. I'm sure our sponsor has the correct spring.
