Default Heater Blower Motor

The blower motor wire is very brittle (runs along the outside of the firewall) and I need to replace it.

But for some reason I cant get the wire/connection off the motor itself.

Does it turn?........am I not forcing it enough?.......... what am I missing??

It has a rubber boot seal/connection....you usually have to hold the tang on the motor while pulling off the wire.....you may have to remove your inner fenderwell in order to get to it.

Thanks for the response.

I've got the blower motor out, so no problem getting to it.

What type of connector is under the rubber boot? It sure is holding tight!

Don't want to destroy the entire connection if I put too much pressure on it.....

The terminal is a spade on motor same as most of the time. The rubber boot with female terminal must be heat stuck to the wiper motor. It is a pull off connector some are a little tougher to pull off as you found out. The rubber boot is used in weather exposed areas.

Thanks for both your inputs, I'll try it again this evening.

Reminds me that I need a new rubber boot for my alternator's main connection. Wonder where I can get one of those?
