Bruce, it matters if you had AC or not -- a non AC car got one light mounted in the middle of the dash on bracket that screws on the bottom lip of the dash, AC cars had two lights, one on each side of the dash near the kick panels. There's a pigtail hanging for the light harness around the middle of the dash, orange and white wires I believe. Not near the car for any pics right now.

Later,
Dennis

Ok that makes sense. My car is a 69 non a/c judge I have the pigtail in the middle of dash that takes the bulb. I thought all cars had 2 one on each side, and could not figure out why it would not reach either side and where the other one was. I did not have the bracket I bought 2 brackets but did not know where to mount them.
Thank you Dennis

thanks bruce

That's one option I always update (regardless of originality) as I find it useless to have one bulb in middle only...Searching for a burnt fuse at night is nearly impossible with only the center bulb...All my GTOs (including the conv) gets the 2 bulbs, one on each side...easy addition and removal if you care about originality....
