Default Rear grear ?'s

I have a M22 with a 3:55 posi. Just thinking about going to a higher ratio for better gas mileage, & to lower the work load on the engine (rpm wise).

Still want to be able to break the tires loose once & a while though.

Any good suggestions?

323s would make so little difference it wouldnt be worth it 308 on a percentage basis wouldnt get you much. Taller tires if you can can get you the same for a lot less buck and work.

I would agree with Logun1970 if you have the budget.
I have the stock 278 gears in by non-posi with a stock 350 automatic and I can smoke my tire. Highway gears will never stop a manual tranny from raping your radials!
